Guia de Isora is north of Adeje, which has the widely known Costa Adeje. On the coast is the Playa de San Juan, Alcala and other villages form almost a continuation of the Costa Adeje, with other beaches. In the landscape the Barranco de Erques is a natural separation between the two communities. In the rising ground that adjoins the coastal strip, are urban areas such as Chio, Tejina, El Jaral or Chiguergue, but also beautiful located villas, fincas and mansions, in groups or individually.
In Aripe and Chirche important examples of the guanche culture were found. Traditional architecture and interior design is still found in many places were houses were built into the softer layers of rock, and thus each has a certain extent through a cave. Also many traditional furnaces made of layered rocks can still be seen. The soils of Guía de Isora bear the particularity that the community, because of very young porous volcanic rocks, is the most watery community of the entire south-west of Tenerife, with more than 40 so-called galleries, to distribute the water to the demand centers.
Even in terms of gastronomy and culture, Guia de Isora gives a very authentic picture of Tenerife, which is a pleasant counterpart to the bustling coastal strip with its more tourist-oriented restaurants, bars, cafes and shops.
